We are happy and proud for these excellent new colleagues.<\/strong><\/em>\r\n\r\nAnu Siren on psykologian tohtori ja sosiaaligerontologian dosentti, jonka kiinnostuksen kohteena ovat ik\u00e4\u00e4ntymisen sosiaaliset, kulttuuriset ja materiaaliset ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6t ja niiden merkitys yksil\u00f6ille. V\u00e4itelty\u00e4\u00e4n Helsingin yliopistosta vuonna 2005, Anu on ty\u00f6skennellyt Tanskassa; ensin Tanskan teknillisess\u00e4 yliopistossa tutkien i\u00e4kk\u00e4iden (liikenteess\u00e4) liikkumista ja sen yhteiskunnallista ja kulttuurista s\u00e4\u00e4ntely\u00e4, ja vuodesta 2013 Tanskan sosiaalitutkimuskeskuksessa (VIVE) tutkien laajasti erilaisia sosiaaligerontologisia aiheita kuten i\u00e4kk\u00e4iden yhteis\u00f6asumista, digitaalisten palveluiden k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00e4, perhesuhteiden merkityst\u00e4 vanhuusi\u00e4ss\u00e4 sek\u00e4 tulevaisuuden i\u00e4kk\u00e4iden tarpeita ja mieltymyksi\u00e4. Anu on my\u00f6s viime vuosina vet\u00e4nyt tanskalaista ik\u00e4\u00e4ntymisen pitkitt\u00e4istutkimusta Danish Longitudinal Study of Ageing:ia jossa aineistoa on ker\u00e4tty viiden vuoden v\u00e4lein vuodesta 1997. \u00a0Anu Siren aloittaa ty\u00f6ns\u00e4 Tampereen yliopistossa 1.4. 2021\r\n\r\n<em>Anu Siren has Ph.D. in psychology and is docent in social gerontology. Her interests are related to the institutional, cultural and material contexts of late life and the way these interact with the individual experience of ageing. Since earning her Ph.D. in 2005, Anu has worked in Denmark. She worked first at the Technical University of Denmark and, since 2013, at the Danish Centre of Social Science Research, working broadly with social gerontological topics, including senior co-housing, digitalization of services in ageing society, the role of family relations in late life, and the needs and preferences of future older adults. She has also had lead responsibility for the Danish Longitudinal Study of Ageing, a panel survey collected with five-year intervals, dating back to 1997. Anu Siren will start at Tampere University in April 2021.<\/em>\r\n\r\nJenni Kulmala on gerontologian ja kansanterveyden sek\u00e4 gerontologisen hoitotieteen dosentti ja tehnyt monipuolisesti t\u00f6it\u00e4 ik\u00e4\u00e4ntymistutkimuksen ja opetuksen parissa. Viime vuodet Jenni on ty\u00f6skennellyt gerontologian yliopettajana Sein\u00e4joen ammattikorkeakoulussa sek\u00e4 sivutoimisena apulaisprofessorina Tukholman Karoliinisessa Instituutissa ja erikoistutkijana Terveyden ja hyvinvoinnin laitoksessa. Jenni\u00a0 tuo mukanaan erityisesti muistisairauksiin, aivoterveyteen ja ik\u00e4\u00e4ntyneiden toimintakyvyn edist\u00e4miseen liittyv\u00e4\u00e4 osaamista sek\u00e4 laajat kansalliset ja kansainv\u00e4liset yhteisty\u00f6verkostot. Jenni Kulmala aloittaa ty\u00f6ns\u00e4 Tampereen yliopistossa 1.2. 2021\r\n\r\n<em>Jenni Kulmala has a long-standing background in the field of aging research and higher education. Most recently she has worked as a principal lecturer at Sein\u00e4joki University of Applied Sciences and part-time Assistant professor at Karolinska Institutet, Sweden and Senior researcher at Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL). Her main areas of expertise include promotion of physical and cognitive functioning among older people and research related to dementia and Alzheimer\u2019s disease. She has worked in various national and international research groups.
