Attractive destinations, such as parks or shops, may draw one to leave home, but little is known about locations of activity destinations relative to older adults\u2019 homes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this project, we study where older adults are active, whether these places share common attributes, and how these places affect active aging and its change over time. If possible, a mapping strategy will be developed for identifying environments supporting active aging in Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4, and it will be tested in different settings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Integration of epidemiological and geographical data sources, multi-disciplinary methods and expert collaboration will ensure a comprehensive picture of person-environment interactions underlying active aging. Menetelm\u00e4n toimivuutta testataan muissa ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6iss\u00e4.\r\n\r\nEpidemiologisten ja maantieteellisten aineistojen yhdist\u00e4minen, monitieteisten menetelmien k\u00e4ytt\u00f6 ja asiantuntijayhteisty\u00f6 takaavat, ett\u00e4 tutkimuksessa luodaan kokonaisvaltainen kuva aktiivisena ik\u00e4\u00e4ntymiseen vaikuttavista yksil\u00f6llisist\u00e4 ja ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6tekij\u00f6ist\u00e4.
