Mental Well-Being and Assisted Living Environments (MAY)

The aim of the MAY project is to generate knowledge on how mental well-being, functional capacity, adaptation to the residential environment, and participation in activities are interconnected among residents of housing service units operating under the Social Welfare Act, specifically communal housing and 24-hour service housing. Attention is given to examining how the residential environment of these housing units influences these interrelationships, especially from the perspectives of supporting residents’ activities and enabling the implementation of nature-based care interventions.
